Selected works

The work is built mostly in concrete, steel and stone, materials chosen because they age honestly and hold detail in the open. What holds the pieces together is not a style but a method: read the site first, set the line into the material rather than onto it, and finish the edges by hand. The entries below span a public bridge screen, a run of inlaid surface details, and a carved stone circle, each made for one place in and around Auckland. Click any image to see it full size.
